Still waiting on a developer who never replies?

We take over the app you already have.

Bring us the website or app someone else built. We learn how it works, keep it running and build the next things on your list.

What happens when we take it over.

  1. Step 01 · Free · 30 min

    Say hello.

Tell us what your app does, who uses it and which accounts you can still get into. We agree the handover on the call.

  2. Step 02 · The handover

    We get the keys.

You give us access to the accounts your app runs on, and we show you which ones and how.

  3. Step 03 · Getting to know it

    We learn how it works.

We read through the code, back everything up and get it running on our side. Then we tell you what we found, in plain words.

  4. Step 04 · Always Improving

    We keep it improving.

From then on, we keep it secure and online, and build new features one at a time, in the order you choose.

What to gather before the call.

Bring whatever you can find. Each one makes the handover simpler, and we can help you track down the rest.

  1. Your domain.

The account where you pay for your web address, with a company like GoDaddy or Namecheap.

  2. Your hosting.

Where the app runs. Look for a monthly bill from a company like Amazon Web Services, Heroku or DigitalOcean.

  3. The code.

It usually lives in a GitHub or GitLab account. If you’ve never had access, it’s worth asking your old developer one more time.

  4. The services it uses.

Payments and emails often run through services like Stripe or SendGrid, each with its own login.

  5. Notes and documents.

Your contract, old emails or any notes on how the app was built. Anything written down helps.

  6. What you want next.

The features and fixes you’d like, in your own words. It becomes our first list together.

What a takeover costs.

What if I can’t reach my old developer at all?

Bring what you have. The accounts that matter most, like your domain and hosting, should be in your name. If some of them aren’t, we’ll help you work out how to get them moved to you.

Will you rebuild my app?

We start from the app you have and improve it one piece at a time. If we think part of it should be replaced, we’ll explain why, and you decide.

Does it matter what my app was built with?

Tell us what you know, even if it’s only the name of whoever built it. We’ll tell you plainly whether it’s something we can look after.

Do I need to know anything technical?

No. Tell us what the app does and what you’d like next, in your own words. We’ll ask about the rest.

Can I cancel?

Yes, anytime. Always Improving is month-to-month. When you cancel, we hand over the code, the data, the docs and every login, so your app keeps running without us.

Bring your app. Let’s have a eureka moment.
